Collection and assembly of care kits for the unsheltered and homeless.
In partnership with Atlanta Downtown Improvement District (ADID), The Elizabeth Foundation and other partner organizations, The King Center will host a Beloved Community Service Project on Monday, January 15, 2024.
We will be hosting a donation drive until January 10, 2024, and on January 15, volunteers will sort donations and assemble care kits for the homeless and unsheltered at The King Center. These care kits will provide essential items and basic necessities to help improve their well-being and provide some comfort during challenging times.
How Can You Help?
We are requesting donations from generous supporters and will ONLY accept the following items: toothbrushes, toothpaste, soaps (bars), blankets, tissues (small packs) deodorants, lotion (hand or body) wet wipes, toilet tissue, blankets, socks (men’s and women’s), shampoo/conditioner, and sanitary pads.
We will NOT accept ANY clothing or shoes.
