Chomp & Stomp Festival 2024
Always the first Saturday in November
Cabbagetown’s biggest fundraiser of the year is the first Saturday in November. Featuring a chili cook-off with over 70 individuals and 20 restaurants, the variety is only outdone by the creative costumes and decorations with which each team adorns their tent (must have something to do with the proximity to Halloween). There are three stages of music, with the big stage in Cabbagetown Park dedicated to old-time string music and bluegrass. Chomp also features: Food Truck Row, an Artist Market, the notorious Cabbage Games, and Porch Jams scattered throughout the tiny historic mill village!
Organized by the Cabbagetown Initiative, Chomp & Stomp raises funds for our neighborhood parks, green spaces, and the Cabbagetown Community Center! It’s the tastiest, foot-stompin’est, MOST FUN fall festival in Atlanta!
Enjoy chili, beer, and bluegrass in the heart and soul of Atlanta, right through the Krog Street Tunnel. There will be a packed schedule of lively bands, great drinks, and the chili you pine for all year long.
Official spoons (required for chili eating) will be on sale before the event takes place at Little’s Food Store and Sweet Cheats locations in Cabbagetown. All proceeds will support the efforts of the Friends of Cabbagetown Conservancy, focusing on community development through the maintenance and enhancement of our Cabbagetown parks.
