Consul general to serve seven states in the southeast
Atlanta has a new Irish consul general who comes from the human rights and gender equality team at the United Nations in New York. Caoimhe Ní Chonchúir, whose territory will cover seven Southeastern states, is the second woman in a row to occupy the role. Her term at the UN included co-chairing the council’s expert group on women, peace and security.
