Atlanta Pride Festival and Parade 2016
Pride Returns to the A October 8=9. 2017. The city’s celebration descends again for a weeklong party
The 46th Atlanta Pride Festival is the least exclusive party you’ll ever attend. Literally all people — regardless of gender identity, who they wanna date, what box they tick on censuses — are encouraged to celebrate at the largest pride festival in the Southeast. The weekend is jam-packed with activities to honor self-acceptance and alternative lifestyles. March in one of three parades; watch the local comedy showcase; peruse the marketplace, featuring more than 200 vendors; enjoy live music by Kiiara, Zara Larsson, and Deven Green, among others; dance your ass off to DJ Canvas’ sick beats at the Queer Your Gender dance party; and much more. You gotta love the festival’s busy schedule and, well, love is love.
Free. 10 a.m. Sat.-Sun., Oct.8-9. Piedmont Park. 1342 Worchester Dr. N.E. 404-875-7275. www.piedmontpark.org.
